YOUR QUESTIONS ANSWERED                                                                    TOP OF PAGE

1) What size backpack must we take for Everest Base Camp? A 25-35l backpack is sufficient, large enough to carry your water, camera, rain gear and fleece in case you get cold.

2) Do you recommend a climb of Mt Meru before Kilimanjaro? If you have the time available and budget, then yes. Not only does it help you to acclimatise but it also gives you an idea of conditions on the mountain that you will experience, to a larger degree, on Kilimanjaro.

3) I am scared of heights - will I be okay on the Everest Base Camp Trek? I am not sure how severe your fear is, but you will have to walk across a lot of suspension bridges that are high above the valley and rivers. For the rest, there are a few steep areas but no sudden drop offs. I would not recommend however that you go to the very top of Kala Pathar.
