The Conaf has confirmed reopening of the hiking trail from Paine Grande to the Grey Glacier. The Refugio Grey is open and receiving guests, the campsite Grey remains closed.· Due to severe damages to the water treatment plant at Paine Grande, the Refugio Paine Grande remains closed until further notice. There are no services, campsite or water available in Paine Grande. This makes the completion of the W-circuit impossible. This is often a point of confusion. Basically, it means that all spare batteries must be kept in a warm sock as the warmer the battery, the longer its life. At high altitude, a batteries natural life is almost halved. So keeping it warmer helps it survive longer. 2) What meals can we expect on Kilimanjaro?
