Itinerary :
Day 1- Cairo
Arrive at Cairo International Airport. Meet GAT Tours
representative outside the Airport then transfer to your hotel with
private air conditioned van. Check in your hotel and overnight.
Day 2 - Cairo
Breakfast at hotel then start a full day tour to
visit the Great Pyramid of Cheops which was built by manual labor, is
the largest of the three main Pyramids and is the only survivor of the
Seven Great Wonders of the Ancient World, the Pyramid of Chephren, which
is the best preserved, and the Pyramid of Mycerinus. Nearby see the
Sphinx, a marvelous sight carved out of a natural rocky outcrop, the
lion's body stretching 45m, with its paws 15m long.
Move to the world famous Egyptian Museum with its
100,000 objects covering 4,000 years of ancient Egyptian civilization.
Lunch at local restaurant. Learn how paper was made
in the ancient times with a visit to the Papyrus Institute. Transfer to
the train station to depart to Aswan. Dinner and overnight on board the
sleeper train. (BLD)
Day 3 – Aswan /Kom Ombo (Departs on Wednesdays &
Fridays)
Breakfast on board train. Arrival in Aswan. Transfer
to your Nile Cruiser. Embarkation. Lunch on board. Then visit the
beautiful Temple of Philae, rising from the waters of the Nile. Then
move to The High Dam. Back to cruise. Dinner while sailing to Kom Ombo.
Overnight onboard Nile Cruiser. (BLD)
Day 4 - Kom Ombo /Edfu
Breakfast on board. Visit the Temple of Sobek, the
crocodile god, conveniently situated on the riverbank. Lunch on board.
Continue to Edfu. visit Edfu’s beautiful preserved Temple of Horus,
built by the Ptolemy’s. It is the best preserved of all large Egyptian
temples Tonight we enjoy a sumptuous Oriental Dinner. Dance all night
away at the Egyptian Galabeya Party. Overnight onboard your Nile
Cruiser. (BLD)
Day 5 - Edfu / Esna / Luxor
Breakfast on board .This morning,. Lunch on board
.Finally we go through the locks to cruise downstream to Luxor.
On to the west bank early morning to visit Valley of
the Kings, the monumental Temple of Queen Hatshepsut and the Colossi of
Memnon. Dinner and overnight onboard the ship. (BLD)
Day 6 - Luxor
Check out after Breakfast. Free time in Luxor
(optional Luxor and Karnack Temples tour)
At Night transfer to the train station to return back
to Cairo. Dinner & overnight. (BD)
Day 7 – Cairo
Arrive at Cairo train station. Meet GAT Tours
representative & transfer to your hotel. Free day to explore Cairo & for
some shopping (optional tours available). Overnight. (B)
Day 8 – Cairo / Home
After breakfast, transfer to Cairo Airport to fly
home. (B)
End of tour
