1) I have heard that the Gorilla habitat in Rwanda has been destroyed since the volcanic eruption? This is not the case. The volcano that erupted was Mount Nyamulagira which is in the DRC (Congo). The GorillaS live far east of the volcano and were thus not affected. However, some the habitat of the Chimpanzees in the area, was. Rwanda is unaffected.

2) We are interested in a trip to Surinam and Guyana but there is no embassy were we live. How do we obtain visas? We can assist you with your visa application. We will send you a form for completion for pre-authorisation. The cost is USD$100 which is then payable on arrival.

3) I have heard that Machu Picchu has been destroyed by floods and we can no longer go there. Is this true? The region of Aguas Calientes received heavy rains last week which resulted in several landslides, one of which washed across the railway line linking Cuzco and Machu Picchu. The ruins, however, have remained intact and well preserved, primarily due to the incredible drainage system put in place by the ancient Inca people when they built it.  Trains to the ruins are not running at present by according to official sources at Peru Rail, the rail line should be up and running by the end of February.
