This small archipelago is located in the centre of the Mediterranean sea; a location described as crossroads where Europe meets Africa, making Malta strategically very important.
Malta comprises of three major Islands, Malta, Gozo and Comino surrounded by the beautiful blue sea with a total of 140 kilometers of coastline. The Islands cover a combined land area of 316 square kilometers. Many cultures have left their marks through the ages and visitors can tour around pre-historic temples, catacombs of the early Christians, medieval buildings, Auberges built by the Knights of St. John and more recent World War II exploits all scattered in different parts of the Islands.
