1) When is the best time to do the Annapurna Trek? The climbing season in this region runs from March to May and then again from September to November. While one can trek here during June-August, it is monsoon season and so while the paths are quiet with few tourists, you are likely to encounter a lot of leeches in the lower forest regions.  Tour itinerary

2) What are the medical facilities like on the Everest Gokyo Trek? There are no medical facilities along the Gokyo Lakes trek. The only way out in the event of an emergency is by helicopter to Kathmandu about 2 hours away.  Tour itinerary

3) Can we buy or rent our gear in Kathmandu to save taking it over with us? Yes you can. You can buy or rent just about any gear in Kathmandu at very affordable prices. The only thing we have never seen there are foot warmers, but this is not to say they are not available, just we never found it. You can even buy oxygen canisters at reasonable prices.
