BEST OF KATHMANDUDuration: 7 Nights, 8 Days ITINERARY Day 01: Arrive Kathmandu and Transfer to Hotel. Day 02: Full day guided sightseeing around of the Kathmandu valley, taking in such sights as Swayambhunath, one of world's most glorious, ancient, enigmatic and holiest of Buddhist Chaitya, Bouddhanth, a colossal and ancient Stupa; Guheshwari, which is where Sati, the consort of Siva, immolated herself due to her father's insult and Pashupatinath with two tiered golden roof and silver doors. Evening welcome dinner with Nepalese music and dance. Day 03: We will drive to Bhaktapur situated at an altitude of 1401 m. It is home to medieval art and architecture and was the site for Burtoluchhi's Little Buddha. The urban city covers an area of 4 sq. miles. Shaped like a conch-shell, Bhaktapur meaning city of Devotees, pottery and weaving are its traditional industries. Bhaktapur, essence of the Newari City, 14 km east of Kathmandu is Nepal's greatest treasure. Return to Kathmandu Day 04: After breakfast, we head up to the enchanting hill top town of Nagarkot for our overnight stay. Day 05: With an early morning wake up, you'll be off to see panoramas of the eastern Himalaya including 5 of world's ten highest peaks - Mt. Everest, Lhotse, Cho O Yu, Makalu and Manaslu. Spend the day at leisure of walk around the rice paddies and hillside villages. Overnight Nagarkot. Day 6: After breakfast, we return to Thamel, Kathmandu and the Thamel Eco Resort .
