Nomadic Adventures - turning dreams into reality

World record Team for most blind climbers on Kilimanjaro - 2009

We are a young and dynamic company, ready to turn your dreams into a reality. The fact that we are small means more time to focus on service excellence.  Hundreds of people from all over the world have turned their dreams into a reality by doing three things

  • contacting our team of experts and sharing their dream
  • allowing us to help turn their dreams into a tangible reality
  • committing to their dream and turning the reality, into a memory of a lifetime

Adventures of a life time

Why Nomadic? We have done it, we have been there, we have visited the Gorilla's, trekked the Andes and the Himalaya's and stood on the roof of Africa.  Whether you wish to fulfill your dream alone or with a group of like minded people, join a set tour or tailor your own, let us help you get there. Because, we care.

  • We are committed to environmental sustainability and are members of SATSA ( South African Tourism Association), affording our clients protection under the umbrella of SATOUR and the South African Tourism Board.

What some of our clients said...

"We had an incredible time in Peru and everything went so smoothly. It is a country well geared for its tourism and the landscape and its people are both exceptional! We thoroughly enjoyed our guides, all of whom were incredibly well informed and truly fascinating in how they presented their country. We both thank you so very much for arranging such an efficient and well organized trip - we were never in doubt as to the what, when or where of our days and that made for a very relaxing and enjoyable holiday. We always slept well and ate well and the service was excellent on all fronts. The local team was most efficient and made sure that they did online check-ins for us for each flight the day before departure which made our traveling much easier.

A special mention to Alberto who took us to Nasca and Paracas, Jose who was our guide in Cusco, Jaime (my spelling may be incorrect) who led us through Macchu Pichu and Luis T (Lucho) who guided us through the Amazon. They were all unbelievable guides and such lovely people to spend time with. They all knew their areas so very well and imparted their knowledge in such a way that it could only ignite that same passion is us tourists.

We were exceptionally fortunate in that we spent the 5 hour boat ride to Tambopata with Donald Brightsmith (the head of the research team) as well as Sharman and Bruce (two of the researchers) and enjoyed their company during our 2 days there too. It was such a treat to be able to learn about the Macaws and Parrots in the area from the experts! They were all so willing to share their knowledge and discuss their research with complete novices. We peppered them with questions and they were quite ready to talk us through their research. They too exuded passion for their work that was quite contagious.

Thank you for keeping in touch and attending to our various needs" Angela - South Africa

"My trip was fantastic and I had an experience of a lifetime!  The summit run was truly amazing and I will carry those images in my head for the rest of my life.  I'm not sure if Charles told you, but I got sick at the end of the third day.  Fortunately I recovered in time to go on the summit run on the fourth day.  The summit run was extremely difficult for me.  During the trek I had serious doubts about making the summit, but Charles gave the me the moral support which made a big difference.  He's an excellent guide and I'm grateful to you for putting it together for me." Ben, USA

"I would just like to take this opportunity to extend a BIG THANK YOU to you and Nomadic Adventure for a truly unforgettable Kili experience – in our case it was not just a journey or a trip, but an adventure. We especially enjoyed all your “prep” emails, the support with bookings and references, the advice and training tips you sent us – many of our fellow travellers we met on the mountain have never received any information of this kind. And then of course, Charles was an absolute star. Crystal - South Africa

"Everything went so smoothly. Thank you for all your help. We loved our guide and our park ranger. They worked well together to make our trip wonderful. It was much more challenging than we expected -- but we made it." Linda - USA

"The holiday is Nepal was one of the best ever - unforgettable. At Nagarkot we went for long walks, uphill and downhill. We caught sight of the himalayas from Nagarkot on the first morning - it was stunning. On the second morning it was so overcast, that the tourists on that day could not see anything. We walked to a Tamang village where we visited homes and had tea with one family. Nagarkot was definitely one of the highlights for both of us. There is not one negative thing either of us can say about this trip - it was so well planned and we were looked after very well.  Well, how can we ever thank you for arranging the trip so well, for all the advice and tips and the interest you showed. We will never forget you. We hope that our paths may cross again in future." Aletta, Johannesburg

" Breathtaking landscapes, irreproachable organization, and go mood all the way along. A memorable adventure within safe boundaries. Thanks again for your professionalism and for making it happen." Gwellie, China

"After many many game drives in South Africa, Namibia and Botswana, I'd have to say this trip outdid them all, with some very special sights:  an elephant who decided to have a little lie-down on a termite mound right next to us; three tree-climbing lions having a nap...; a leopard napping in a tree with his kill stuffed in a nearby branch;...and many thousands of zebra and wildebeest on their migratory journey.  Amazing!

Thank you very much for all your help.  We plan another trip to Africa in a couple of years ...to see the Okavango Delta so will contact you again then."

Trish - USA
